This jazz etude is written over chords from Bird’s Ornithology. This solo is written to fit the Ornithology play-along track from Jamey Aebersold’s album Vol. 6 Charlie Parker All Bird.

The jazz etude also sounds great if you play it by yourself or with a piano player. Or use the play-along track in the video below.

Don’t forget to listen to Charlie Parker himself performing this tune and learn from his phrasing, timing, and energy.
